day 12: Spring has Sprung

photo a day challenge, day 12, welcome to my world.

I don't know about the rest of you but I am so ready for warm weather! Being outside is one of my most favorite things to do :)

It is so beautiful today! The sun is shinning, the wind is blowing, and there is now snow or rain in sight! woohoo!

I put up my spring sign on my door:

Then as I was cleaning out my flowers bed what did I see?

My lilies coming up!!

And my tulips!!

and all of my wonderful trees are starting to bud!!

All of these things are a sure sign that spring is on its way, and I couldn't be happier. In celebration of spring I even went to Mug N' Bun!

and if you don't know what Mug N' Bun is you need to check it out!!
Hope everyone is outside enjoying the beautifulness!

day 7: Scraps N' Threads

photo a day challenge, day 7, welcome to my world.

Today I want to share with you some product photos for a fantastic home business.

Scraps N' Threads is fine home-made crocheted items. You can find hats, hair bows, and also some hand sewed outifts for your little ones. If you are a photographer there are also photography props to be found. Everything can be customized to fit your needs all you gotta do is ask!

This little hat and diaper cover make for a perfect photo prop, which is exactly why I asked for it! I saw a hat on her site that I liked but was the wrong size, messaged her, and asked about customizing it. The hat came out just like I hoped! To top it off she made a diaper cover to match! I love when you can get custom stuff!

Scraps N' Threads is run by Kirby (and her toddler!). She has a great eye for creations, and can crochet very well! Though most items take around a week, you can request items quicker. This cocoon was requested and received in just 3 days! Talk about quick turn-around!

Her crochet items may be amazing, but her hair bows are to die for!!! She has lots of different ribbons and all of her bows are just the right size. She also has different options for clips which makes it even better! I got these hairbows and LOVE them!

If you aren't a photographer she has great stuff for your kids, and if you are a photographer check her out for your custom newborn/baby props! If she doesn't have what you want make sure to send her a message for a custom order!

Now for the good stuff... if you go to the Scraps N' Threads facebook page and "like" her...
Kirby is giving all of you 20% off your total! Talk about a GREAT deal!
(just make sure to tell her EV Photography sent you!)

Check out Scraps N' Threads on facebook today!

day 5: Horse Show! and day 6: Cute Little Pup!

photo a day challenge, day 5 and 6, welcome to my world.

OK... I know I am a couple days off... :) Should have known this wasn't going to last very long... just kidding!

Saturday I got up early and headed out for a horse show, that my wonderful cousin Cortni was in. I had a blast! Well sort of... it was cold! and wet! and did I mention cold?? Really though, I love spending the day in a horse barn watching her ride. Congrats Cort on getting second and pointing up :)

When I finally made it home on saturday I decided to just crash in bed and get all warmed back up thinking "oo the photo of the day can wait. I'll just do it tomorrow!" Not! I bet yall were wondering what happened to me yesterday! I ended up staying in bed all day not feeling the greatest. I feel much better after a day of resting and so I say... let the pictures continue!

The pictures below I also took saturday, but since I didn't even get out of bed yesterday these will have to do for day 6 :)

Cortni has the most BEAUTIFUL (or should I say handsome since its a male?) Aussie pup. He is just 4 months old and is so stinkin' cute! I personally think he looks a bit like my own dog but blonde and blue eyed.

I, of course, had to do a mini photo shoot... enjoy!

p.s. sorry the photos are so "grainy" the barn was super dark and I only had my one lens :)

day 2: Missing You Already!

photo a day challenge, day 2, welcome to my world.

I miss my little man already! For those that don't know I watch my nephew on a daily basis. Tonight he left on vacation to Florida. Lucky him gets to see Mickey Mouse (and warm weather boo!).

I wanted to take a few photos of him before he left but as most days go the day came and went until it was almost time for him to go home. I tried to be sneaky and take pictures while he was napping... that didn't work he just woke up instead. I tried after we came downstairs...that didn't work he wanted juice. I tried with his juice...that didn't work he wanted a snack. I tried after his snack... that didn't work he wanted Grandma and Grandpa.

I managed to squeeze in a couple shots in between his requests though, not many turned out well. Most of them he is going bonkers waiting for it to be time to go.

I hope they all have a very fun time in Florida, take lots of photos, and enjoy all of the warm weather. I however will miss my little sidekick dearly!

day 1: Newest Obsession

photo a day challenge, day 1, welcome to my world.

Today, I decided to let you all see what I do besides photography. I love all arts and dabble in anything and everything. I usually bounce from one thing to another trying all kinds and never settling for long. I can draw, paint, throw pottery, knit (sorta!), sew (not well!), cross stitch (<3 it!), and lots of other things.

Last week while shopping for new fabric to use as backdrops (Joannes was having an insane sale!) I saw quilting stuff and was like "o.m.g. I need to try that!" I love antiques and times past so I figured why not learn to quilt? I bought some fabric, a beginners book, some thread and needles and came home to start.

Sometimes I get a little ambitious and start a little harder than I should. Take this as an example, I am still working on a cross stitch that I started 3 years ago haha! For that reason I decided to start easy with a pillow cover.

It is still a work in progress as I just started it last week but its getting there :) Hope you enjoy!
